The Terrace Pavilion within the House of Commons hosted this very special event, kindly sponsored by Liam Conlon, Labour MP for Beckenham & Penge.

Liam, elected at the last general election with a majority of almost 13,000, went on to serve as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Transport Secretary and launched a nationwide campaign to tackle Blue Badge theft. For the past five years, he had also chaired the Labour Party Irish Society. One of only a handful of disabled MPs, Liam overcame a hip shattering injury at 13, which left him unable to walk for four years and required extensive surgeries and a hip replacement at 17.

Before entering Parliament, he worked in Operations at a tech start-up and had previously worked for former Culture Secretary Dame Tessa Jowell.

Check out Malcolm McNally's fantastic photos from the evening.
